Today I just got an email from Patrick Kelvin’s team (Mediawhiz) with the private invitation to their first CPC program called ShoppingAds. Currently this program still in the Beta phase. If not mistaken this is their 3rd program of advertising after TextlinkAds and AuctionAds. As you know this another make money online program that you can use to monetize your blog or site.

ShoppingAds is a cost per click ads product powered by major shopping comparison sites. ShoppingAds allowed you to display product ads from the top merchants in the form of image or text ads to your web site visitor and when someone clicks on your ad, then you’ll get paid. I think this program almost similar to widgetbucks.

Similar to widgetbucks, you can customized your ads to suite with your site color and background. As for today, ShoppingAds have 11 types of ads format which you can choose to use such as ladder board, banner, large rectangle, vertical banner and etc.

How can I get the pay? Currently they set up the payout through the paypal only but as what they mentioned in the mail, they promise to change it in the next month. Maybe to have more option to get the payment.

Forget to say that ShoppingAds also has the option for us to add and choose our own keywords or use their automatic popular keywords. Also one to thing to note that ShoppingAds is no way a contextual engine like Adsense. So I think choosing the right keywords is key to getting the most out of ShoppingAds.

ShoppingAds also has the real time statistic on the impression and clicks, and might be delay a few minutes or hour. We can easily log in to our account to check the performance.

Since this is the CPC program, so I think I’ll give it a try in this blog. I hope that their final release of ShoppingAds program will have more features that will increase the publisher CTR.

After 2 days been off line, this morning I notice there is PR update by google. From the Google tool bar, this blog already went down from PR3 to PR2. Seems I’ve to actively posting more content and try to get more back link

In general PR updated 4 times a year. Apparently almost all webmaster waiting to the PR update. I think this is because the more higher PR will give better in SERP (search engine ranking position) just my guess. PR also shown the value of your website. Almost all authority web site own high PR.

Google always updated and improve their algorithm on how they determine the PR value. So as web master, we can just guess what’s their rough algorithm but we can’t make sure its. So, I think no need to depend on PR, just develop our web site as good as we can!

Pay attention to PageRank — but don’t live or die by it!

I came across DoshDosh blog today and found this worth to read entry by DoshDosh. The title is on 63 constructive opinions on the best way to make money online.

If you read all one by one, we can say every single person having different way on how to make money online. Some of them prefer to build and develop a single authority web site and make a lot of money from it. On the other hand others prefer to build many web site which can generate $1/day per site. So with lot of site than can have abilities to multiple the money.

Of course to build a single authority web site its not easy. This required to invest some money and a lot of your time. The benefit is once the web site become stable and popular a lot of traffic and repeated visitor will coming, then the money will start to pour down to your bank.

I’m sure a lot of web master using sitemap for their blog or website. If you have a blog powered by wordpress, you can easily install this great google site map generator plugin to your blog. Thanks to Arne Brachhold for his great work.

As a blogger or web master, what we want is to have all our update content to get indexed by search engine especially the big player search engine like Google, Yahoo and MSN.

I just installed this useful plugin to this blog and seems very easy to install. Its not take more than 5 minutes for me to install and the best thing its FREE .

What you need to do is only;

1. Download and install the Google Sitemap Generator plugin from Arne Barchhold.
2. Just follow the setup instructions. Once installed, you can leave the default configuration for this plugin as it is if you want. Don’t forget to click the “Rebuild Sitemap” button (Options > Sitemap) to create your sitemap for the first time. If encounter any errors, you can easily click learn more and get the info from the developer site.
3. Sign in to Google Sitemaps with you Google Account. You’ll need to create a Google Account if you haven’t done it already.
4. When inside your Sitemap account, click on the “Add” tab and select the “General Web Sitemap” option and click Next.
5. Add the sitemap which was generated in Step 2 above.

Using this plugin, every time you edit/publish/delete a post, your sitemap will be regenerated automatically. Google will be notified of the changes and you’ll have the new content crawled without waiting for the regular crawl to resume.

They do not guarantee that they’ll crawl or index all of your URLs. However, they use the data in your Sitemap to learn about your site’s structure, which will allow them to improve their crawler schedule and do a better job crawling your site in the future.
